The Afghan Whigs had some of the best covers back in the day. I’ve not been impressed by Dulli’s washed out Gutter Twins project. He’s become a joke, pretending to make the kind of music he used to make. Or, maybe he’s just not in on the joke anymore…
Still, I can’t help but give him a chance when the source material is Jose Gonzalez.
